Appetite suppressants are recommended for people who:

- Have a BMI over 27 Have difficulty controlling appetite while dieting
Appetite suppressants are NOT recommended for people who:
- Have an uncontrolled comorbidity such as high blood pressure
- Breastfeeding mothers
- Liver failure over the age of 65
- Any heart disease, abnormalities, or history of arrhythmias
- Any other concerning condition determined by IHWW’s medical provider
Weight loss medications are not typically recommended for long-term use. Once you reach your weight loss goal, you’ll be encouraged to transition away from the use of appetite suppressants.
